How to Tie a Deco Mesh Bow

| October 19, 2017
OPTION 1: What You’ll Need:
  • 10” roll of mesh.
  • Scissors
  • Floral wire
Directions:
  1. Unroll some mesh and roll the edges under. Loop the end around and pinch it and hold it in your hand. Help the mesh to roll under again, bringing it up and pinching it in your hand, matching the size of the loop to the first loop. Repeat this as many times as you would like. You can make the bow as big or as small as you want! Just make sure all the loops are the same size.
  2. Cut the mesh from the bolt. Roll out some more mesh, pinch it in the middle and cut the end from the rest of the bolt so the tails are the same length.
  3. Take a piece of floral wire around the bow AND the middle of the tail length, twisting as tightly as possible.
Your bow is finished!

OPTION 2: What You’ll Need:
  • 21” Roll of mesh
  • Scissors
  • Floral wire
Directions:
  1. Take the sides and roll them in, fold the end under to create a loop. Repeat as you did with the 10” bow, but due to the volume of this larger bow, you may need less loops.
  2. To Create smaller puff in the middle create a loop about half the size of the rest of your loops and add it to the rest of the pinched section in your hand. Then to add a tail, do NOT cut the mesh from the bolt, but roll out a longer section, pinch with your fingers and add the pinched section to the rest of your bow in your other hand. Cut the mesh from the bolt as close to the bow as possible, and secure the entire bow with tail sections with a piece of floral wire. Make sure to secure it very tightly!
  3. Fluff out the bow and cut the mesh around the middle of the long loop section created to make your tails.
Your bow is finished!
